Cleavage Don'ts

Whether you love your “girls” or not how you present them to the world says an awful lot about you.

Putting your best foot forward is kind of a play on words here but, you go from classy to trashy in a micro-second even if you don’t mean to.  Just one missed button, too low of a neckline and even an ill-fitted bra can send the wrong message.  Styles nowadays are smaller and snugger.  What was the average breast in the 70’s no longer holds true today (34B compared to a 36C).

We’ve all heard the snide comments, “Yowza!”  “Look at them puppies!”  “Did ya see the #### on that one!”  I think it’s safe to say the majority of us know when the right time to flaunt them is and, when to cover them up.  For those of you who may be uncertain, there are certain things to consider.

Boobs equate to sex.  We know their power and if you don’t want people to think and treat you like a Hoochie Mama, tone it down in public.  It’s darn sexy when a woman owns her sex appeal  and femininity.   Understand there is a time and place for everything.

Unless making an income rests upon chest, showing too much is not only a distraction but simply unprofessional.   Your image is a communication you can’t retract once it’s out in the open.

Your cleavage will be considered an accessory and if the “girls” are popping out, you’ll attract the negative instead of the positive elements into your life.

Think age-appropriate and believe me, gravity will eventually win out on this one unless you perk them up with silicone.  Aim for a look that will compliment a natural and mature bust line.  You don’t want to expose that unsightly crinkled skin because you’ve boosted them unnaturally high with the wrong-fitting bra.  Sexy doesn’t have an age limit, but be sensible.

Age, pregnancy, gaining weight, gravity and menopause will cause drastic changes in your breasts and knowing how to adapt to those changes will make a major difference in your life.  Make sure you’re wearing the right size bra that will lift and separate your breasts correctly.  The style you wore in your 20’s will not suffice in your 40’s.

And lastly, it's important to remember your best quality doesn’t lie in a particular body part at all.  The sexiest thing you can wear is a positive self-image, confidence and self-esteem and loving everything there is about being a woman and who you are.

This article is great - as someone who is *ahem* favorably endowed I always wished I could go down a size or two. You know, so I could run without a harness or sleep on my stomach without hurting my upper back :/

I guess the grass is always greener....
